She's at it again. In fact she seems to think it's normal now. I keep thinking maybe she does it for attention, should we be making more of a fuss of her? Or gloing out and throwing that blinkin' tennis ball in the garden all day every day, as she woulod like us to? - she spends a lot of her time sitting outside looking hopeful, tennis ball within immendiate reach. Even in the evenings she's taken to lying by the pet flap in the back door, ready to leap up and out whenever anyone moves!
Last night she stayed in her den (her crate) in the kitchen all night and wouldn't come through. Turned out that was because she had Richard's shoe in there with her and was waiting for someone to try and get it off her. So she could growl at them, of course, then come out for a pat (tail wagging) when it has been wrested off her. Richard duly obliged when he went to bed. Still she didn't come out so when I went to bed about an hour later I went through to say good night and this time she had something else - sigh. What now? It transpired it was a supermarket plastic bag (the reusable ones, as long as it hasn't been chewed!). Even she hadn't tried to eat it so I don't know why she was clutching it so fiercely. She seemed a little disappointed when I just laughed, patted her and left her to it.
